The challenge.

Amadeus needed an engaging, interactive experience to showcase their comprehensive travel technology solutions across the full passenger journey - from initial search and booking through to arrival at the destination. This digital experience had to seamlessly highlight both online and offline products in a unified and intuitive way. It also needed to be visually compelling, align with Amadeus' illustration style, and be optimized for a large touchscreen display at a major industry event in Madrid.

The approach.

Working within Amadeus' visual guidelines, we designed a fully realized airport environment - both interior and exterior - using over 400 custom illustrations. These included everything from terminal buildings, transport infrastructure, and retail spaces, to the actual Amadeus products in action: self-service bag drops, security and border control gates, and other key innovations.

Our team not only led the design effort but also wrote and structured all supporting content for the product pages. Once designs were finalized, we collaborated closely on the digital development, bringing the illustrated airport to life as an interactive experience for event attendees to explore on a large-scale touchscreen.

The outcome.

The final experience served as a powerful storytelling tool, enabling users to “connect the dots” across the full traveler journey while discovering how Amadeus’ solutions play a role at each stage. Successfully launched at the Madrid event, this immersive tool became a centerpiece of Amadeus' presence - and this was only Phase 1, with further expansions and updates planned.
